Shimla, Dec. 23 -- Education minister Rohit Thakur issued directions to strengthen quality education, streamline administration, and promote sports across the state on Monday while chairing a review meeting of the education department. Highlighting the expansion of CBSE education as a flagship project of CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the minister said the state government is committed to providing quality and uniform education through CBSE schools. "A Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for teacher appointments has been prepared and will be placed before the Cabinet soon. The government plans to open 100 CBSE schools from the next academic session, with affiliation already secured for 94 schools, while the remaining will be completed by the end of this month.
