LG inaugurates new building of Swami Pranavanand Vidyamandir
Jammu, April 24 -- Jammu and Kashmir lieutenant governor(LG) Manoj Sinha inaugurated the new school building of Swami Pranavanand Vidyamandir in Panjgrain, Nagrota, on Thursday. The school is run by Bharat Sevashram Sangha.
In his address the LG said that the new higher secondary building and skill infrastructure will ensure disadvantaged students receive quality education.
"Once all the floors of building are complete, it will serve more than 1,500 students. With future residential facilities for 100 boys, local economy will get a boost, backward areas will be transformed, and society will advance with new confidence," Sinha said
He called upon students and teachers to contribute to nation-building and adapt classrooms to today's changing global landscape, positioning India as the world's leading knowledge economy.
Bharat Sevashram Sangh started pre-primary to Class 8 education here in 2014 under 'Har Ghar Shiksha'.
Sinha also attended the foundation day of Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir at Dhammi in Nagrota.
He paid obeisance at the holy temple and prayed for peace, prosperity and well-being of all. The religious proceedings were marked by the lighting of the Akhand Jyot and the traditional reciting of Ved Path.
During his visit, Sinha also reviewed the ongoing construction works of Yatri Halls, being developed by the Temple Committee, to facilitate the devotees traveling to the Shri Amarnath Ji and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine....
