Dharamshala, Oct. 7 -- Zaffar Iqbal, a 2017-batch IAS officer, who recently took additional charge as the managing director of the Kangra Central Cooperative Bank, on Monday, stated that key promotion and recruitment processes pending since 2017 will be initiated over the next two quarters to address the bank's staff shortage. Iqbal, while talking to media in Dharamshala said that a new HR policy will be formulated for the bank, clarifying rules and procedures and defining roles and responsibilities for each officer. A designated cell will also be established at the headquarters to ensure two-way and transparent communication with stakeholders. Clarifying the financial health of the bank, he assured depositors and stakeholders of its fundamental strength and credibility. The managing director added that following the suspension of the board on the instructions of the chief minister, stringent reforms are being implemented to make the bank one of the best among cooperative banks.
