Shimla, May 16 -- To asses the damage caused by forest fires, a joint team from the Union ministry of environment, forest and climate change (MoEF&CC), Government of India, and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) visited Demarcated Protect Forest (DPF) Baryance under the Bilaspur Forest Division. The team comprised SP Negi, deputy director general, integrated regional office (IRO), New Delhi, and Aditya Kumar, senior consultant, NDMA. The officials inspected fire-prone and recently affected forest areas in Kuddi, under the Sadar Forest Range.
