Dharamshala, Oct. 10 -- With weather starting to improve in Himachal Pradesh, the maximum temperatures started to climb and an appreciable rise was observed at many stations across the state. The IMD has predicted dry weather from October 11. The India Meteorological Department's (IMD) Shimla office, on Thursday, said that there was an appreciable rise in maximum temperatures for many stations during the past 24 hours. However, it was still below normal by 3-11 degrees at most of the stations. The minimum temperatures of most of the stations were also below normal by 2-5 degrees. Keylong in the tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti recorded a lowest minimum temperature of -1.0 degrees Celsius According to IMD, light to moderate rain was observed at a few places over the state during the past 24 hours. The highest rainfall of 25.5 mm was recorded in Sarahan, followed by Kothi (13.4 mm), Sangla (12.8 mm), Manali (11.0 mm), Gohar (10.0 mm), Kalpa (7.6 mm), Rohru (7.0 mm), Bharmaur (6.5 mm), Seobagh (5.8 mm), Kufri (5.0 mm) and Paonta (4.6 mm). Other stations like Solan, Shimla, Kukumseri, Kotkhai and Jogindarnagar recorded a rainfall of 4.6 mm, 3.4 mm, 2.4 mm, 2.0 mm and 2.0 mm respectively. Temperatures to increase The MeT department officials said that light rain or snowfall is likely at isolated places on October 10. However, dry weather is likely to prevail from October 11 onwards. They said that the minimum temperature is likely to rise gradually by 3-5 degrees during the next 4-5 days. The maximum temperatures are also expected to rise appreciably by 4-6 degrees during next 24 hours, thereafter, they are likely to rise gradually by 2- 3 degrees during next 4-5 days....
