HP soldier cremated with full military honours
Dharamshala, Sept. 22 -- The mortal remains of Lance Dafadar Baldev Chand, 35, a soldier from Himachal's Bilaspur district, who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty in Jammu and Kashmir, reached his native place on Sunday.
He succumbed to his injuries sustained during the gunfight with terrorists in Udhampur.
The martyr's body arrived at his native village where he was cremated with full state honours and military traditions. DC, Bilaspur, Rahul Kumar, SP Sandeep Dhawal, along with administrative officials, security personnel, and of villagers were present on the occasion. Chand is survived by his wife, a six-year-old son, parents, and a younger brother....
