HP higher reaches may see snowfall on Oct 21, 22
Dharamshala, Oct. 19 -- The India Meteorological Department's (IMD) Shimla office has predicted snowfall or light rain in the higher reaches of the state on October 21 and 22. The weather office said a feeble Western Disturbance will impact western Himalayan region from October 21. Dry weather is likely to prevail across the state during the remaining days of the week.
Meanwhile, an IMD official said that there would be no large change in minimum and maximum temperature during the next 3-4 days. During the last 24 hours, weather was mainly dry over the state and there was no large change in maximum and minimum temperatures for many stations during this period. Dense fog was observed in Sundernagar.
The minimum temperatures for many stations were normal. At a few stations, the minimum temperatures were above normal by 2-4 degrees Celsius and they were in the range of 1 to 20 degrees over the state. Moreover, the maximum temperatures for few stations were normal or near normal, at few stations they were above normal by 2-3 degrees and they were in the range of 16-35 degrees over the state.
The lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Lahaul-Spiti's Keylong at 0.8deg Celsius. On Saturday, Una was the hottest with a maximum temperature of 33 degrees....
