HP gets 'top achiever' tag forwork in healthcare, service sector
Shimla, Nov. 13 -- Himachal Pradesh has been recognised as a 'top achiever state' under the Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) - 2024, instituted by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India.
Himachal Pradesh earned this recognition for its commendable performance across three key reform areas - construction permit enablers, sector-specific: healthcare, and the services sector.
Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu stated that the government is firmly committed to delivering services at the doorsteps of investors.
He emphasised that the state government has extended comprehensive facilitation and support to investors across all sectors, and over the past three years, has undertaken a series of progressive, investor-friendly initiatives aimed at fostering a transparent, efficient, and enabling business environment in the state.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, industries minister Harshwardhan Chauhan, said the honour stands as a testament to the state's reform-oriented governance, investor-friendly policies, and consistent strides towards a robust, industry-driven growth ecosystem.
The award was conferred by the Union minister for commerce and industry Piyush Goyal, during the Udyog Samagam - 2025, in acknowledgment of exemplary reform implementation by various states and UTs.
Health and family affairs minister Dr (Col) Dhani Ram Shandil directed the officers to speed-up the tender and procurement of health related equipment and supplies and ensure the process was entirely transparent.
Shandil chaired a high power purchase committee (HPPC) meeting on Wednesday and directed the officials to ensure that quality equipments, diagnostic and laboratory services were available in every health institution of the state.
"The quality healthcare must reach to the remotest of the areas and for that the government was ensuring that state-of-the-art machinery was made available throughout the state," the minister remarked.
The health minister directed to ensure that the procurement and installation of the health machinery was completed as early as possible.HTC...
