DHARAMSHALA, Feb. 15 -- Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur on Friday said that he inaugurated and laid foundation of projects worth Rs.165 crore in Kangra during the first leg of his winter sojourn to the district.

He said that projects worth Rs.65 crore for Indora assembly segment and Rs.50 crore each for Baijnath and Kangra segments were announced.

Addressing a public meeting at Surajpur in Indora segment, the chief minister said that the state government was according top priority to Kangra as it was the largest district in terms of population.

"We have been able to bring a substantial change in the lives of the people through various welfare schemes," said Thakur.
