SHIMLA, April 16 -- The Uttarakhand high court on Monday stayed the merger of two government schools in Chamoli district based on a government order to merge schools with less than 30 students enrolled and in five kilometers of each other, said Devendra Singh Bohra, counsel of the petitioner in the case. The court stayed the government order issued on November 18 last year for these two schools in Chamoli district government middle school Khenoli and government inter college Gadkot. Both the schools had to be merged under the government order. The directions were issued by a division bench of Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia And Justice Narayan Singh Dhanik while responding to a PIL filed by Chamoli based Trilok Singh....
