Barmer, Jan. 19 -- Medical department employees have been denying medicines to many patients they are entitled to under the chief minister's 'Free Medicine Scheme', officials found in Barmer district during a review of e-Aushadhi software. The e-Aushadhi is a web-based application which deals with the management of stock of drugs, sutures and surgical items required by district drug warehouses of Rajasthan. The prime objective of a district drug warehouse is to supply drugs to medical institutes associated with it. It was discovered through the software that medicines under the 'Free Medicine Scheme' were available with at the department's district drug warehouse and even at sub-stores, but they were not being issued to the patients, officials said....
