Srinagar, Dec. 4 -- Police on Tuesday arrested four persons involved in setting ablaze shops in north Kashmir's Baramulla town last month.
Police said the arrested persons also own shops in different markets of the town. Officials said these people had deliberately tried to set shops and business establishments on fire last month by sprinkling petrol during the evening hours when nobody was present in the market.
Last month, a three-storey readymade garments shop was razed to the ground due to a mysterious fire in main market of the town. Timely action by locals saved other shops, which were also sprinkled with petrol, from damage.
