NEW DELHI, July 27 -- World football governing body FIFA addressed a letter to the All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Thursday, seeking an update on the situation involving the league structure in the country.

Addressed to federation general secretary Kushal Das and signed by FIFA's chief member associations officer Joyce Cook, the letter comes shortly after six I-League clubs shot off a letter to the global body asking for its intervention in India.
