Srinagar, Nov. 8 -- Awami Itthead Party on Friday condemned the government 'silence' on IHPL scam, saying that the failure to act has deeply hurt local cricket players and cricket fans across Kashmir.
AIP chief spokesperson Inam Un Nabi said the responsibility squarely lies on the government to thoroughly cross-check and verify organisers before permitting such large-scale events, especially when the youth are directly involved and place their hopes in these platforms. "How did such an event get clearance without proper scrutiny? This is a serious lapse," he said.
Inam questioned on delay over arrests. "This inaction sends a wrong signal and emboldens wrongdoers," he said.
