Shimla, Jan. 8 -- Himachal Pradesh BJP president Rajeev Bindal on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the Congress, accusing it of running a nationwide misinformation campaign against the VB-G RAM G scheme. "Congress was deliberately misleading the public about a programme that has been designed to strengthen rural livelihoods and provide greater economic security to rural families," said Bindal, addressing a press conference on Wednesday. "The Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural) (VB-G RAM G) Act, 2025, is set to establish a new dimension for rural India. This scheme is not limited merely to providing employment; rather, it creates a concrete and result-oriented framework that links employment directly with rural development," said Bindal, while adding that under the scheme there will be guaranteed 125 days of employment in a year. "In the past, complaints of corruption and irregularities emerged from different states. Keeping those experiences in mind, this new scheme has been designed with a strong monitoring mechanism.
