Colonel posted in Rajouri dies in Delhi hospital
Jammu, June 19 -- A colonel of the Indian Army, who was posted in Rajouri district, died due to "medical reasons" at an army hospital in Delhi on Tuesday, the army said.
Nagrota based White Knight Corps relayed the information on the social networkingsite X.
"#GOC and all ranks of #WhiteKnightCorps express deepest condolences on the untimely demise of Colonel Somnath Mishra, Commanding Officer, 63 Rashtriya Rifles (BIHAR) due to medicalreasons at Base Hospital, Delhi. We firmly stand with the bereaved family in this hour of grief," it wrote.
Colonel Mishra was undergoing treatment at a military hospital in Delhi after he suffered critical injuries in a road accident last month, officials said.
Officials said the officer suffered cardiac arrest leading to his death. A thorough officer and a gentleman par excellence, Col Mishra is survived by his wife and son, the officialssaid....
