Srinagar, July 21 -- Leader of Opposition in the Jammu & Kashmir assembly Sunil Sharma on Sunday alleged that chief minister Omar Abdullah wants to "push Kashmir into separatism politics", days after he dodged police curbs and scaled a wall to pay tributes to 21 Kashmiris killed by the Dogra army in 1931, Sharma, while addressing a press conference in Srinagar, of indulging in regionalism and urged him from refraining from such "divisive politics". "By talking about regionalism, Omar Abdullah did a drama on July 14( by jumping over a wall and scuffling with police) despite the gate being open and tried to provoke youth...They want to push Kashmir into separatism politics. Omar should refrain from such divisive politics," he said. On July 14, the chief minister sprinted on foot and scaled a wall to pay tributes to the Kashmiris killed on July 13, 1931, a day after several political leaders alleged they were not allowed to visit the Mazar-e-Shohada (martyrs' graveyard) in Srinagar. Videos of the CM and his colleagues scaling the wall of the cemetery were shared widely on social media. Bharatiya Janata Party's leader of opposition in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, Sunil Sharma on Sunday alleged that chief minister Omar Abdullah wants to push Kashmir into 'separatism politics' after he scaled a wall and dodged police curbs to honor the martyrs of July 13, 1931 earlier this week. Sharma, while addressing a press conference in Srinagar, charged Omar Abdullah of indulging in regionalism even as the BJP leader himself talked about the 'devotion and sentiments' of Jammu division and Dogra community. Sharma, the legislator from Padder-Nagseni, said that Abdullah trampled over the sentiments of Jammu region with his actions last week. "When he is reminded of the promises he made, he jumps over walls or scuffles with police. Somehow, there was hope that Omar Abdullah would run both the regions - Jammu as well as Kashmir. But, he trampled the sentiments of the Jammu region on July 14," he said. "Jammu has a devotion towards the Maharaja and Omar (by honoring his opponents) proved he was the CM of a particular region. He projects that he is only the CM of Kashmir while he shattered the sentiments of the Jammu region. He hurt the devotion of the Dogra community towards Maharaja Hari Singh. This is condemnable," he said....
