Jammu, Sept. 9 -- The BJP has welcomed the detention of Doda MLA and president of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Mehraj Malik under Public Safety Act. In a statement issued here, advocate Parimoksh Seth spokesperson of J&K BJP welcomed the detention of Mehraj Malik and said that "some fringe elements have entered politics and were using unparliamentary language" against the general public and public functionaries. "These elements not only cause damage to the social fabric of the nation but also to public sentiments. The public representatives are required to work for the welfare of the public but entry of such elements has not only caused damage to public welfare but also to the society at large. The use of unparliamentary words against the female family members of the Doda DC are highly condemnable," he said. Seth alleged that AAP has failed to take action against its president of the J&K unit.
