Jammu, Dec. 7 -- A woman from Bangladesh was on Saturday booked for illegally entering and staying in the country in violation of immigration laws, Ramban police officials said. Identified as Happu Akhter, she hails from Habiganj district of Bangladesh, officials said. "During verification, it came to the fore that the woman had been residing in the Kunfer area of Chanderkote, for the past some days," said a police officer. A preliminary inquiry revealed that she had been attempting to conceal her identity, raising "serious suspicion" regarding the purpose of her presence in the area.
