SRINAGAR, Feb. 15 -- The army organised a conclave of north Kashmir Moulvis (clerics) to discuss their role in containing social evils, officials said on Friday.

Army officials said they had organised the conclave under the aegis of Military Garrison at Haiderbeigh Pattan in north Kashmir's Baramaulla district on Thursday. Around 70 Moulvis took part in the conclave.

Moulvis from Baramulla, Sopore, Pattan and Tangmarg areas of north Kashmir attended the conclave. HTC
