Shimla, March 24 -- Amid coronavirus fears, the state government on Monday cut short the Budget session of Vidhan Sabha and passed Rs.49,131 crore Budget for 2020-21 fiscal, by voice vote.

Education and parliamentary affairs minister Suresh Bhardwaj brought a resolution in the House to shorten the Budget session. He also proposed suspending business of Vidhan Sabha that was listed for the day. He said the total sitting of the House will be completed during the monsoon and winter sessions. Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar invoked Guillotine to pass the Budget.
