Shimla, May 3 -- A bomb threat for multiple locations in Himachal's Kullu, including government offices and public spaces, was sent through email on Friday evening, officials said, adding that it claimed the places will be hit within the next 24 hours, officials aware of the matter said. This is the fifth such threat received by state authorities. Earlier, the deputy commissioner office (DC) in Chamba, Mandi and Hamirpur, and chief secretary's office in Shimla had received similar threats. After the threat, the district disaster management authority has alerted all relevant authorities, including the police, "District authorities have received an e-mail threatening to blow up various places of Kullu, including government offices and public places, within 24 hours. In view of the seriousness of the threat, all departments and in-charges of all public institutions have been directed to take immediate action," a communication from the DC office said. The administration issued an advisory appealing all officers, departments and the public not to panic. All employees and visitors were advised to remain calm and avoid spreading panic.
