Srinagar, Jan. 1 -- Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) chief spokesperson Inam Un Nabi on Wednesday urged the J&K government to announce a clear, time-bound policy for the regularisation of daily wagers, DRWs, SPOs, ad-hoc appointees, contractual staff and consolidated employees, saying prolonged uncertainty has pushed thousands of families into distress. He said that although the government has talked about evolving a mechanism, workers on the ground still see no closure. "A committee doesn't feed a household. These are not files, these are families. Promises and committees cannot replace dignity and stability," he said, adding that the issue is humanitarian as much as administrative, demanding clearance of pending dues, minimum wage protection and basic service benefits alongside regularisation. "AIP will continue to raise the matter until a just, transparent and enforceable policy brings long-overdue relief to workers who have already given the prime of their lives in service of the public.htc...
