Jammu, Dec. 25 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday filed a chargesheet against a business man for allegedly trying to bribe the then superintendent of police (SP), City South, Jammu, in a bid to secure undue official favour. The businessman identified as Chander Shekhar Vohra, proprietor of M/s Asian Associates, allegedly offered a bribe of Rs.30,000 to the then SP, City South, Jammu, in a bid to secure undue official favour, mentioned the chargesheet. "ACB produced the chargesheet before the court of special judge, anti-corruption, Jammu, in connection with FIR No. 01/2024, registered under Section 8 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988," said an official spokesperson.
