Jammu, June 14 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday laid a trap and caught red-handed an official of the revenue department for demanding and accepting bribe in Poonch district. The patwari was identified as Mohammad Jameel. Acting upon a complaint, the ACB sleuths laid a trap and arrested the corrupt patwari from Halqa Dhara in Mandi tehsil of Poonch district for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000, said an official spokesperson. A case under FIR number 02/2025 under section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 was registered in Police Station ACB Rajouri and investigation was taken up. htc...
