Srinagar, Oct. 21 -- Two Indian Army soldiers and a civilian were killed on Sunday during a heavy exchange of fire between Indian and Pakistani armies on the Line of Control in north Kashmir's Kupwara district, police and army officials said.

Three civilians were also hurt during Pakistani shelling and firing in the area.

Officials said Pakistan violated ceasefire and opened heavy fire at around 11:15pm on Saturday night in Tanghdar sector in Kupwara which triggered heavy exchange of fire between the two armies till 4am on Sunday.
