2 die in Shimla road mishap
Dharamshala, April 15 -- Two persons from Chandigarh were killed after the vehicle they were travelling in veered off the road near Summer Hill in Shimla, police officials said on Tuesday.
The deceased have been identified as Bara Singh and Gurmeet Singh, both residents of Maloya Colony in Chandigarh. Police officials said the mishap occurred near the Medical Inspection room late Monday night, however, the incident came to light on Tuesday.
The car, in which the victims were travelling, bearing a Chandigarh registration number rolled nearly 80 metres down a steep slope. According to police, one of the deceased Bara Singh was driving the car when the mishap took place.
A case under sections 281 (rash driving) and 106 (death by rash negligence) of BNS has been registered and probe is on to ascertain the cause. htc...
