Jammu, Nov. 28 -- Police on Thursday arrested a 19-year-old teenager in connection with suspected terror activities and are examining the digital devices seized from his possession, officials said. "The accused, originally hailed from Reasi district and was currently residing in the Bhatindi area. He is emerging as a key suspect in terror-related activities. An FIR under Section 113(3) BNS has been registered at police station Bahu Fort," said a police officer. "The preliminary investigation revealed that the accused was being radicalised online and was allegedly planning to carry out a terror act," he added. Police sources also revealed that the suspect had been in contact via mobile phone with "certain numbers based in Pakistan and other foreign countries." The digital devices seized from the teenager are being thoroughly examined and analysed as part of the investigation. Police confirmed that detailed questioning and a comprehensive investigation are ongoing. "His phone contained incriminating chats and foreign contacts," they added.
