India, June 28 -- Hit, superhit, blockbuster, flop - that's pretty much how much we sum up a film's fate, isn't it? But is it really as simple? The film industry in 2025 so far has witnessed a roller coaster ride - from highs such as Chhaava, which earned close to Rs.800 crores worldwide, to Salman Khan's Sikandar disappointing with a sad run; from Rajkummar Rao's Bhool Chuk Maaf surprising everyone with its two-week run in theatres before dropping on OTT to even Kesari Chapter 2 holding its own. But parameter on which one can classify a film as a hit or a flop is on the basis of ABC - Audience, Budget, and Content. While audiences decide which film they want to pick and which one to kick, it's really the budget of a film that is the real hero. Smartly made films on the correct budget have a faster chance to recover their investment than a lavishly mounted film with a big budget. And as has been discussed amply in the last year, a big name doesn't guarantee box office success anymore. All this and more has been discussed by Sonal Kalra, Chief Managing Editor, Lifestyle and Entertainment, in her show MiPhi presents The Right Angle with Sonal Kalra this week. The first season's finale will also have actor Aamir Khan joining us for the On Call With segment, discussing his latest film Sitaare Zameen Par's success, the tough time films are facing worldwide, and more. MiPhi presents The Right Angle with Sonal Kalra's season finale is now live across Hindustan Times, Hindustan, and Mint's YouTube channels. Don't miss it!...
