Jaipur, Aug. 14 -- Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said making Rajasthan fully self-reliant in the water sector is a top priority. Addressing a review meeting on Wednesday, he said, "Water is a fundamental requirement for the state's development, and uninterrupted supply will make life easier for the people...". He directed officials to expedite the implementation of various budget announcements made in the past two years and to ensure that water and irrigation projects take concrete shape on the ground. He instructed that regular monitoring be carried out, with a progress report sent to his office every 15 days.
