Barmer, Nov. 3 -- A wanted gangster, who had been running his criminal empire with an organised structure, involving interviews, recruitment drives, and advance payments for criminal "contracts", has been arrested, officials said on Sunday. The accused, Ajay Singh alias Arjun Singh, a resident of Doodhwa Khurd village in Barmer district, was arrested on Saturday by the Rajasthan ATS (Anti-Terrorism Squad) and ANTF (Anti-Narcotics Task Force) after six years on the run. According to IG Vikas Kumar, Ajay Singh led a network of over 64 active members, many of whom are notorious and carry cash rewards of Rs.25,000 to Rs.50,000 on their heads.
