Jaipur, Oct. 17 -- Union Minister for Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw, on Thursday inaugurated new platforms, platform upgrades and extensions, and an integrated passenger information system at 65 small and medium stations under North Western Railway at Khatiwara Railway Station, Jaipur. In addition, he launched printed blanket covers for air-conditioned passengers on the Jaipur-Asarwa Express. Addressing the gathering, Minister Vaishnaw said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the railway sector has witnessed unprecedented development, setting new benchmarks for infrastructure and passenger services. Highlighting the introduction of printed blanket covers, the minister said the initiative has been launched experimentally with a focus on 'Vocal for Local', using locally printed blankets to create employment opportunities at the community level.
