Bharatpur, Dec. 11 -- Two minor sisters were burnt to death after their thatched house caught fire on Tuesday night in Rajasthan's Sawai Madhopur district, police said on Wednesday. According to police, the incident occurred in village Pipalwada Nadi under Malarna Dungar police station limits when Priya (13) and her sister Pooja (8) were sleeping in a room. On being informed, police reached the spot and rushed the injured to Malarna Dungar Community Health Centre where doctors declared them dead. The fire brigade vehicle was called to extinguish the fire. Malarna Dungar police station in-charge Rajesh Meena, said, "Two minor sisters, identified as 13-year-old Priya and 8-year-old Pooja were charred to death during a fire accident." After the post-mortem examination, the bodies were handed over to family members, police said, adding that further investigation is underway while prima facie, the fire seems to have been caused due to a short circuit. htc...
