Two held for minor's rape in Ajmer, say police
Ajmer, April 14 -- A doctor and an e-Mitra kiosk operator were arrested on Monday for allegedly raping a minor, police said.
According to police, the doctor, Kailash Kumar, befriended the girl and assaulted her. She had come to the hospital for a relative's delivery. The accused allegedly blackmailed her and forced her to undergo an abortion, police said.
Later, the e-Mitra kiosk operator, Kushal Chouhan, on the pretext of helping her to get away from the doctor, raped her multiple times, police said, citing the complaint lodged by the victim's sister at the Krishna Ganj police station on Saturday night.
According to police, the elder sister of the victim reported that the resident doctor befriended the girl and stayed in contact.
As per the complaint, on February 14 last year, Kumar took her to his flat, offered her a cold drink laced with intoxicants, and sexually assaulted her, police said. He recorded photos and videos of the victim and continued to blackmail her, police said, adding that he also forced her to take abortion pills.
The complaint further said the victim used to visit an e-Mitra kiosk for her school-related work and had become acquainted with the operator and confided in him. On December 17, 2025, he took her to a hotel and assaulted her. Between December 2025 and April 2026, he sexually and physically assaulted her multiple times, it stated.
