India, Oct. 25 -- Singers Taylor Swift, Pink and Kenny Loggins, alongside rapper LL Cool J, lead a diverse slate of nominees for the 2026 Songwriters Hall of Fame, as announced on their website, celebrating an eclectic blend of pop, hip-hop, folk and rock innovators. The list also includes Sarah McLachlan, Talking Heads frontman David Byrne, Charlotte Caffey, Kathy Valentine and Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Go's, Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings of The Guess Who, Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell of America, and Kiss co-founders Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. Simmons and Stanley's nomination comes just days after the death of Kiss' original lead guitarist and founding member Ace Frehley, who died on October 16. The non-performer category features disco hitmaker Pete Bellotte, Swedish pop producer Andreas Carlsson of Cheiron Studios fame, longtime Madonna collaborator Patrick Leonard, and veteran songwriters Steve Kipner, Vini Poncia, Martin Page, Kenny Nolan, and the duo Terry Britten and Graham Lyle. Voting members of the Hall have until December 4 (midnight ET) to select up to three nominees from each category. Established in 1969, the Songwriters Hall of Fame honours those whose compositions have defined popular music, with eligibility beginning 20 years after a songwriter's first commercial release. HTC...
