student missing for 5 days, items found in canal
Jaipur, Feb. 23 -- A 24-year-old student, who had been preparing for National Entrance Eligibility Test (NEET) in Kota, is missing since the last five days, police said on Sunday.
The inspector of Borkhera police station, Anil Taylor, said, "On Tuesday, the student was last seen leaving the hostel at around 3.30pm. We are searching for him. Meanwhile, his watch, socks, shoe, and the mobile phone were recovered from near a canal on Saturday."
According to the police, the student, Lokesh Dangi, is from Madhya Pradesh's Rajgarh who had been preparing for NEET at a reputed coaching centre in Kota for the last five to six years.
"When he didn't return, his hostel staff lodged a missing diary on Wednesday following which the police started searching for him. But his phone could not be traced," said Taylor.
Police contacted his father, who arrived in the city on Friday.
"We are checking CCTV footage. An SDRF team was appointed to search in the canal where his items were found. Further probe is on," he said. htc...
