Jaipur, May 28 -- Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra on Monday launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led Rajasthan government, alleging that the state is being run "on God's mercy" while mafias thrive and law and order collapse. Addressing reporters at state party office after paying floral tribute to country's first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru on his death anniversary, Dotasra said, "People are dying in Rajasthan, some are being lynched, others are dying in septic tanks, but the government has no answers. There is complete chaos and no accountability." He also slammed the government over the handling of recruitment exams, saying it has created confusion for over a year and a half. "The BJP made recruitment exams a political issue just to win elections. They claimed over 400 candidates were wrongly selected. But in court, they now admit only 50-55 candidates are under suspicion. The rest are not criminals," he said. "The people of Rajasthan want to know-will the ASI recruitment be cancelled or not? If not, when will those currently in training be given appointments? Will there be a re-exam? What about those who earned their place legitimately? What decision will the government take for them?" he questioned. Hitting out at the lack of transparency, Dotasra said the state is still awaiting announcements for new job recruitments. "No one in the government is willing to make a decision. They are waiting for instructions from their high command in Delhi. Until a chit comes from Delhi, Rajasthan's BJP government won't move an inch." Mocking the leadership, he said, "Even in these dire times, the chief minister is either touring Delhi, on temple visits, or busy 'reviewing' departments. But the people want to know-what actual decisions are being taken?" He said government is ignoring critical public issues like electricity and water supply, while corruption and bureaucracy dominate. The BJP failed to deliver on its promise of one lakh jobs per year and has not made any new appointments beyond those by the previous Congress government, he said. Dotasra criticised the government for ordering a sudden ceasefire despite claiming to give the army free rein and questioned the BJP's sincerity in honoring the national flag. He condemned the Prime Minister's election rhetoric amid ongoing terrorist attacks and highlighted the lack of accountability for recent military decisions. Slamming Dotasra for using derogatory language against PM Modi, BJP spokesperson Mukesh Pareek said, "We are disappointed by Congress's failures, and Dotasra is making such statements. Congress has never resolved any problems but has only intensified them." "In the last 11 years, the country has progressed in every sector. Our army has entered enemy territory and eliminated terrorists. the entire country knows how Pt. Nehru failed to resolve the Kashmir issue after independence, and it remains a problem to this day," he added....
