Jaipur, Sept. 12 -- The Rajasthan government has constituted a high-level Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) to strengthen planning, coordination, management, and monitoring in the state's mining sector. The initiative will focus on exploration, auctions, faster operationalization of mines, revenue growth, sustainable mining, research and development, eco-tourism opportunities, and the adoption of new technologies. Principal Secretary, Mines and Geology, T Ravikant, said the PMU would make the sector more dynamic given Rajasthan's vast reserves of critical, strategic, major, and minor minerals.
