Jodhpur, Sept. 7 -- The first two rounds of discussions held as part of the Akhil Bharatiya Samanvay Baithak (All India Coordination Meeting) of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Jodhpur, yielded plans for the organisation's upcoming centenary celebrations, social work initiatives and updates on ongoing and completed projects. Speaking to reporters on Saturday, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambedkar said that a significant point of the discussion focused on initiatives to strengthen rural economies through cooperative milk unions, in addition to presentations by offshoot organisations on their varius social programmes- Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) discussed its campaign against drug abuse, Saksham (Samadrishti, Kshamata Vikas Evam Anusandhan Mandal) discussed a 33-day Netra Kumbh (Eye Camp) featuring free eye checkups for over 1,00,000 beneficiaries. The Bharat Vikas Parishad shared details of its Anaemia-free India campaign, whereas The Mahila Samanvay group highlighted programmes aimed at increasing women's participation in social life.
