Jaipur, June 3 -- Alok, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Energy Department and Principal Resident Commissioner, died on Monday at his residence in Delhi while undergoing treatment for cancer. He had been battling the illness for a long time and was admitted to a hospital in Delhi a month ago after his condition deteriorated. His last rites will be performed today at Lodhi Road crematorium in Delhi. Born on November 15, 1966, in Patna, Alok was a 1993-batch IAS officer known for his sharp decision-making and strict administrative style. He was a mechanical engineering graduate and made impactful decisions in the energy sector.
