Jaipur, June 3 -- The Supreme Court on Monday granted interim bail to Shobha Raika, daughter of former Rajasthan Public Service Commission member Ramu Raika, who was arrested last year for allegedly using unfair means to qualify the Sub-Inspector 2021 examination, officials aware of the matter said. "Shobha and his brother Devesh were arrested on September 1, 2024 for allegedly qualifying the Sub-Inspector 2021 examination by unfair means. The police alleged that they had received the question paper from their father Ramu Ram Raika seven days before the exam and secured top position in the result. Later, Ramu Ram was arrested on September 2. However, SC had granted an interim bail to Shobha on Monday," said Shobha's counsel Advocate Vedant Sharma. The bail plea was filed at the apex court on Wednesday. "A division bench presided over by Justice Satish Chandra and Justice Sanjay Karaul had granted the bail to Shobha and two other candidates who were also arrested- Vijendra Chaudhary and Suresh Kumar," said Sharma. However, an order copy with further details is yet to be uploaded by the court....
