Jaipur, Jan. 5 -- The Rajasthan government's Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana has provided financial assistance to 34,704 girls so far since 2023-24, with the social justice and empowerment department spending about Rs.142.62 crore under the scheme to support the marriages of daughters from poor and vulnerable families across the state. In addition to basic assistance, women are eligible for extra incentive amounts based on their educational qualifications. Those who have passed Class 10 receive an additional Rs.10,000, while graduates are entitled to an extra Rs.20,000. To avail the benefit, the girl must be at least 18 years of age, and a maximum of two daughters per family can be covered under the scheme.
