Jodhpur, Nov. 19 -- The Rajasthan high court on Monday directed the state government to make the adequate number of appointments for positions of ministerial and supporting staff in order to ensure the effective and smooth functioning of the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and the District Commissions. Before the division bench of justice Vinit Kumar Mathur and justice Bipin Gupta, counsel Anil Bhandari, appearing for the petitioner Rajasthan High Court Advocates Association, said that the Commission cannot function without the appointment of ministerial and supporting staff. He added that despite the posts and additional posts being allocated, the postings were been made. However, senior counsel appearing for the State, Rajesh Panwar, filed a compliance report stating that, as per order dated April 25, 2025, the President and Members of the District as well as the State Commission were appointed. He said that for the smooth functioning of both commissions, the needful would be done at the earliest. He also assured the bench that the requisite ministerial and supporting staff would be posted in pursuance of the allocations made by the state government.
