The official said that the tiger remained near the body for nearly 20 minutes, making it difficult for the officials to retrieve it. "After considerable effort, the forest department managed to secure the body, which was then transported to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Deep bite and claw marks were found on the ranger's neck," the official said.
