JODHPUR, Dec. 6 -- The Rajasthan high court upheld the state government's decision to create separate categories and qualifications for general education and special education teachers in primary and upper primary schools, dismissing a petition challenging the amendment to the rules. A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma and justice Baljinder Singh Sandhu on Wednesday said, "Although the posts of Primary and Upper-Primary School Teacher are meant for teaching, the teaching process for Special Education is completely different from that of General Education. The State, recognizing this fact, has bifurcated the posts into two categories, namely, General Education and Special Education," the bench said....
