Jaipur, Oct. 9 -- Rajasthan has once again taken the lead in India's renewable energy sector, setting a new national benchmark in the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) segment. The state has achieved the lowest-ever discovered tariff in the country - Rs.1.77 lakh per MW per month - during the latest tender process for 1000 MW/2000 MWh storage capacity across eight locations. Principal secretary (energy) Ajitabh Sharma announced the achievement on Tuesday, expressing pride over Rajasthan's continued dominance in renewable energy innovation. "Rajasthan did it again! All records broken! The lowest price ever in the country has been discovered for BESS at Rs 1.77 lakh per MW per month," Sharma said. He said that while Rajasthan has long been recognized for discovering the lowest solar generation prices due to its high solar irradiation, the record-breaking BESS tariff highlights the robust policy ecosystem and proactive facilitation provided by the state government. "This reflects the investors' trust in Rajasthan's transparent and business-friendly environment," he added....
