Jaipur, June 5 -- Due to a western disturbance, several districts in Eastern and Southern Rajasthan experienced pleasant weather for the second consecutive day following continuous rainfall. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain and thunderstorm alert for 29 districts on Wednesday while intermittent rain has been reported in Jaipur, Sikar, Sawai Madhopur, Jhalawar, Baran, and Tonk districts in the morning. As per the data shared by the Indian Meteorological Department, the maximum of 7 cm rains was reported in Jhalawar's Pachhpahar followed by 5 cm in Baran's Anta, 4 cm in Jaipur's Narayanpur and Sambhar, and 3 cm in Tonk's Vanasthali. On Wednesday IMD also predicted that the rains accompanied by thunderstorm will be continued in Bikaner, Jaipur, Kota, and Bharatpur divisions. However, starting June 6, a decrease in rainfall activities is expected, along with a rise in temperature by 3 to 5 degrees. On Wednesday, maximum temperature was recorded in Jaisalmer with 41.5deg Celsius followed by Barmer 40.8 degrees Celsius, Phalodi 39.8 degrees Celsius, Jodhpur 39.6 degrees Celsius, and Pali 37.7 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Jaipur was 30.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the thunderstorm and rains in Sriganganagar had also led to a disaster as about 20 houses collapsed injuring 19 people. IMD has declared an Orange alert in Sriganganagar, Anupgarh, Churu, and Hanumangarh on Wednesday for a moderate to heavy rains along with dust storm with a wind speed of 40 to 60 km per hour....
