Udaipur, Dec. 25 -- Three senior employees at a private IT company were detained on Wednesday for allegedly gang-raping a woman employed as a manager in the company in a moving car late on December 20, police said. According to Udaipur district superintendent of police, Yogesh Goyal, the survivor filed a complaint on Sunday morning, in which she said that she attended a birthday party organised for the company's chief executive officer (CEO) the previous night at a hotel in the city's Shobhagpura area. After the party was over, she was allegedly offered a ride home by the CEO, a female executive and her husband, who is also employed in an executive position at the company. The survivor alleged further in the complaint that she was forcibly drugged and plied with alcohol by the accused in the course of the ride, which she said eventually made her lose consciousness. When she regained consciousness, she realised that she was being raped by the three accused, said Goyal. The SP said that the woman reportedly underwent a medical examination which confirmed sexual assault before approaching the police. "Police have registered a case at Sukher police under relevant sections of the BNS and the investigation is underway under the supervision of additional superintendent of police Madhuri Verma. CCTV footage and audio-video recordings from the car are being examined. Further action will be taken based on the evidence collected," he added....
