primary hindi books to now have biographies of pannadhayi, rani laxmibai
Jaipur, May 28 -- The textbook committee of the Rajasthan education department, which was formed in December to review the school syllabus, has finalised short biographies of biographies of Pannadhayi, Maharana Pratap Singh, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and Rani Laxmibai to be introduced in the Hindi books in primary level, said officials privy to the matter.
A senior officer from the committee said, "Their aim was to provide the children with more values on Indian culture and therefore they have focused on local heroes and prominent characters of Rajasthan that have significant contribution to the country's freedom movement. The syllabus was approved by the education minister Madan Dilawar last week. We have finalised short biographies of Pannadhayi, Maharana Pratap Singh, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and Rani Laxmibai for the Hindi books at the primary level." The new curriculum for the primary level (Class I to Class V) is likely to be implemented from the upcoming session in July, said officials....
