Power dept lays transmission line in tribal belt of Dungarpur: Official
Jaipur, June 16 -- The 132 kV transmission line project between the 132 kV Grid Substation in Dungarpur and the Dungarpur Railway Traction Substation (TSS), covering a total distance of 2.829 km, has been completed, an official of Vidyut Prasaran Nigam said on Sunday.
"The line has been test-charged at 132 kV voltage level. Due to the alignment of the line passing through a populated area, serious Right of Way (RoW) challenges were encountered. To address these, the engineers adopted innovative techniques, utilizing the footprint of existing lattice towers," said Nathmal Didel, managing director of the Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RRVPNL).
"This connection will enable the operation of high-speed trains with electric engines on the vital Udaipur-Ahmadabad railway section," he added.
According to an official statement, the foundation for transmission monopoles were constructed between the legs of the existing towers, allowing monopoles to be erected within the same compact space.htc...
